Lightyear

As a senior graphic designer at Deluxe Entertainment, I created the key art and logo for the animated Pixar film Lightyear based on the Toy Story character Buzz Lightyear, for Slovakia, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. My task was to design eye-catching logos and tile art that showcased the film’s epic and thrilling nature.

For the logo, I used Illustrator for the vector type hoping that it reflected the film’s theme, and matched the reference we were given. In Photoshop, I applied masks, and added layer effects to achieve the metallic glow of the logo. Using the images of Buzz Lightyear provided by Pixar, I added the logos I created to make the final key art. I also did some photo retouching to make sure everything looked nice and harmonious, as well as, managed the alignment and arrangement of the logo and key art.
